Outing to the Broken Kettle Grasslands

and Zales Prairie Hills

Our annual trip to the Broken Kettle Grasslands and the Zales' Prairie Hills retreat has been moved to September to accommodate busy summer schedules and to offer opportunities to see the late blooming prairie specialties and the migrating birds that have not been present on our August visits in the past.

The morning will begin by birding the Grasslands and the wooded habitats at Camp Joy Hollow. The Grassland portion will be roadside birding, while the Camp offers walks from casual to adventurous. 

At noon we are invited to the Zales' Prairie Hills for a special luncheon that Dotty will have waiting for us. Those wishing to partake in the meal should RSVP Dotty, and those wishing to contribute a dish can call Dotty, as well, at 712 540 0952.

Fellowship and one of Bill's walking prairie classrooms will be included after lunch.
