Meet us at 7:00 AM, Saturday, June 21st, at the public boat ramp in Chris Larsen City Park.

We will caravan the 110 miles to Pipestone National Monument. We will bird the grounds and visit the visitors’ center and museum of this important historical and cultural site. We will tread the ground revered for centuries by Native Americans, as we learn the importance of this stone outcropping, why it is sometimes called catlinite and how it is worked to make items important to Native American culture.
