Join us in welcoming Bill and Dotty Zales as our guest speaker from 2:00-2:45 pm. For decades Bill and Dotty have been leaders in conservation efforts in northwest Iowa. Bill, a retired botany instructor, and Dotty, a former school librarian manage several prairies on their land in the Loess Hills. Prairie Hills has been a welcoming location for people to celebrate and learn more about native prairies, conservation, the land, and the wildlife it supports. Bill and Dotty actively restore native grasslands, host educational field days, and lead bird counts and prairie walks.

At the Iowa Prairie Network Conference in August, Bill and Dotty received the prestigious Prairie Advocate Award for their outstanding leadership, ecological restoration efforts and community education.
